Working Together to Protect Children

When allegations of severe child abuse are reported, multiple agencies become involved in the response. The Child Protective Investigative Team (CPIT) brings these professionals together to ensure investigations are coordinated, children are protected, and families receive the support they need.

At Nashville Children's Alliance, we help facilitate this collaborative approach so that agencies can share information, make informed decisions, and work toward the best possible outcomes for children.

Our CPIT Partners

The Child Protective Investigative Team is a multidisciplinary team that works together to investigate cases of severe child abuse and neglect.

NCA works in close collaboration with the following partner agencies:

• Tennessee Department of Children’s Services

• Juvenile Court of Davidson County

• District Attorney’s Office

• Our Kids Center

• Vanderbilt CARE Team

By working together, these professionals can coordinate investigations, reduce duplication of efforts, and focus on the safety and well-being of children.
